    entertaining is a skill

Recently my life is like this: when reading the books, I am reading cases as to killing, robbery, stealing. Well, studying law, that is what it is all about. Turning on TV, I see mothing murders daughter, father killed son, job loss...Over time, it builds up so I tend to entertaining for some break. I found some funny jokes, clean and intelligent. I sent to my friends. I talked to them about it when they call. but I hope they can have a minute of break from the cold and cruel reality like me. Yet, I don't seem to have had great record. It did not work very well.

It got me thinking. Entertaining is after all a great talent that is not as easy as  it seems. I don't have the capability to make people laugh. I failed to turn their attention away for a minute so something else other than worries and concerns. It hurts to realize that, and it makes me appreciate those mater entertainers more.

So, it is safe to say, as far as talent is concerned, we are not born equally. We each have our own set of talents. Let's face that.

    David Copperfield

    Thank you, David Copperfield.

I love to go see shows. I love to go see good ones that everyone is talking about. David Copperfield show has been in the back of my head all these years because I remember he was such a knight, I wished I could see him in person one of these days. The wait has been twenty years, finally he came to town. yeah!

He showed up on the stage in the most amazing manner. He gave you that smile as if he and you have known each other for years and this is just a reunion. Then the  fun started, with no beautiful, half naked girl assistant, he kept the fun going by picking people from the audience for his tricks. I remember he was romantic like an old fashion prince, a graceful dancer and magician, I did not know he can be so funny. Other magician focus on impressing you, he does not care. He played his astounding tricks while playing with the audience like in a big neighborhood party.

The show is so amazing and I feel I was brought to another world, lifted up in the air. It's been a while materpeice has shaken my world like that. then i get hooked.

I checked all videos about him online, wanting to see more.  Among the video I found this interview with him. The reporter asked him what drove David Copperfield. His answer was: respect. He was not very well respected in his childhood, so he wante to do something so that he could be liked. He so wants to be liked that hurts.

What an honest answer! Everyone of us wants to be respected and liked and we tried differnt ways. After a while, we get so tired, we settled. We forget about our own value, together with our dreams. This is sad! David Copperfield bravely got in touch with himself, chased his dreams and now, congratulations, everyond does love him.

We are the same way. We chase after our passion, and we know, now we should acknowlege to ourselves we hope we can respect ourselves before others respect us. The most important thing is, never forget the dreams.

    Thank you, David Copperfield.
