不管怎样, 我们得承认, 我们的快乐和周围环境是紧紧相关的. 美丽的阳光, 甜美的微笑, 可口的咖啡, 一本好书...好多好多. 昨天 早上起来, 太阳又出来了. 10月底了, 福洲的树还是那么绿, 草长得那么旺盛. 空气里更是带着甜味. 我的心有一种平和的开心.  但让我感到更甜的是下面发生的小事.

 

很多人都知道, 加洲BAR是很难考的. 更考人的是如果过了加洲BAR, 还想在福洲做执业律师. 在律法丛丛的美国, 更是难上加难的. 偶然中, 我在网上找到了一个有类似经验的退休律师. 我和他约好要通电话请教. 我谈到了我的疑惑, 我对法律的理解, 对律考的理解. 他给我了很多理解, 分析和建议.  我们的交谈持续了一个小时. 他还说, 以后想要发泄郁闷,, 尽管给他打电话. 哦, 对了, 他曾是美国移民局的出庭律师. 当我感谢他的帮助的时候, 他说, 他的成功也是因为有前人帮助和指导. 他帮我, 才是公平的. SOMEBODY HELPED ME. SO IT IS ONLY FAIR (THAT I HELP YOU).  暖流涌上心头.

 

还有一个就是, 早些时候, 我在网上看到关于CHINALAW 的BLOG. 是个美国律师写的. 我惊叹他看问题的深度和广度, 更感谢他作为美国律师, 对中国企业文化的好奇心. 我不时会给他写我的评论. 他还回了. 就这样有了联系. 这周他到福州做讲演, 就约了我见面.  我们一见如故, 交谈持续到他的飞机要起飞之前. 见惯了蹦架子, 装酷的人, 他的谦逊和开放就象一抹阳光.

 

就象前面提到的一样, 我们的快乐是和周围的小事连在一起的. 自打我学习法律以后, 我已经得到了好些陌生人的善意帮助. 说起来都是小事, 花得时间也不多, 但让我心理暖暖的. 至少让我意识到, 除了电视上的杀人放火, 强奸抢劫...人间还是有阳光的.

 

让我们时不时都添点阳光给别人吧. 清早起来, 心存感激.  

 

 

Astro Boy is back!

 

I was motivated and almost excited to watch Astro Boy primarily because he is cute! Well, is it wrong?

 

The movie Astro Boy was not that innovative but is so entertaining to me because it conveys a great emphasis worthy message through such a cutie. Astro boy was created to be a robot, which is treated as servants to human. Astro boy was created with feelings.  His creator wanted him to replace his dead son in his heart but couldn't accept him as a human so he outed him; Politicians wanted to destroy him for the energy module he has; Poor astro boy had to flee to earth, where he met a few innocent children. He wanted to fit in with them so he hid the truth from them. He did have a good time with them. However, shortly after, evil human found out he is robot and put him to fight to entertain humans. ...

 

Poor boy. Because he has feelings, he wants to fit in and wants to be loved. Yet ever since his birth, he was outed by his own dad and was chased by cruel greedy human being....He was on his emotional journey to find his place ...

 

I will buy this DVD and keep it for my future child. I want them to have the message that it is okay to seek for your own place. It is okay! and you will find your place and find love too!

 

Welcome back, Astro boy! 

 

There are only two shows so far that I was not sick of after watching season 1: Law and Order and House MD. They were written by same group of people. Go figure!

 

House MD is a talented evil doctor who can cure any disease. In my opinion, he is more like a psychaitrist. He sees through everyone. Most dialogues contains sentence like: " why are you doing this? you think... ..." in response, people seek in their soul and give the real answers. In real life, this type of conversation won't fly though! Actually in real life, at least in my real life, conversation barely go that deep.

 

USA runs marathon of this show every weekend, which shows people love this show so much. I figure the main reasons that people love it is that dialogues are so philosophical... I love it for such a reason at least.

 

A freind of mine asked me today whether I am happy. good question. the answer is yes and no. yes is that I have all that can make a person happy: great family, health, career, goals,hobbies...plans...No is that I wish I could have deeper connection with more people. In other word, I wish to be in good company. Who does not?

 

In society nowadays, it is actually too much to ask though. That's why I love to watch House MD where I can have fun by watching others to have fun.
