    Freindship Expiration Date

It occured to me today that sadly friendship actually has expiration date.

Ajay, my most caring and available friend, can't talk to me anymore because one, his business is getting aboard and he has brough too much on the plate, so he can't even talk during day time and at night, he is not allowed to talk to me on the phone by his wife.

3 years after being great friends, our friendship has come to a stop. This bumper of friendship is not expected. It extends to other friends I used to have too. Zhengwensheng, my close friend from college lost contact, Zhujiang, the humorous friend, grew apart and had totally different value.

Friends are not forever. So we need to enjoy their company at the moment and count the meeting as great blessings.

Beautiful People on South Beach of Miami

    Beautiful people

I went to South Beach and not surprisingly saw a lot of beautiful people. Gorgeous bodies, flawless face and hairdo. South beach is known for this hence there’s a popular diet called South Beach Diet which implies beauty of course.

I came to wonder about the question ”What’s next?” What are they doing with their already perfect bodies and faces? Are they satisfied with life now? Do they get whatever they need?

    What are their goals?

Looking wonderful and being wonderful are the same things? Which one really leads to lasting happiness?

I think we definitely need both to feel really good for the longest time. Intelligence, hardworking, loving, caring, fun to be around and happy to be beautiful need to work together to make a wonderful life.

    Right?

Talking about The Art of Communication

    Quote

    The Art of Communication
The art of communication and the power of appraisal

How many of us are sure that our parents are proud of us? Well, I am not a lucky one in this regard.

I actually can put together some okay records about myself. I have always been the top 5 from day one in school. I got into top 10 colleges in the whole country. I started to win singing contests, math contests since I was 11 years old. I went on to work in Hong Kong and was made supervisor, manager since I was 24…

Even funnier, just because of my Mom’s one rolling eye-ball when she said to me only 2 percent can pass bar exam every year and usually people had to try 4-5 times before they could pass, and I said I might try, I passed at the first attempt in 2 years of self-taught. …

I still got no positive comment from my Mom. So I continued to seek for her approval or pride in me by getting my MBA and computer technology degree…still nothing so far.

As much as I wished to be encouraged and valued, I realized that the best gift to a loved one is not really expensive present, instead, it should be stronger self-confidence. We should be generous to tell them about their talents, their kindness, how great they are….After all, believe-in-thyself sometimes is the only thing for ones’ dream to come true.

Depends on how expressive we are to encourage our close ones, sometimes appraisal can be optional. Yet, when we can express our appreciation toward others in front of our loves ones, we can’t forget telling the worth of the audience. Otherwise, the implication can be they are great because they are distant. So what do we want as the consequence?

If we want our worth to be seen and appreciated, let’s start from expressing our appreciation, and don’t forget ones who are close to you already.

    Too good to be true

There is a guy in our church who is so young, extremely good looking and has the brightest smile ever.

He is a young father and second counsel to the church. When he gave a talk today about free agency today, the bad thing he mentioned that he debated with himself is that he found it hard to pray every night before going to bed coz sometimes he is just too tired.

I have known him for a while. I have an impression that he is almost perfect but sense of experience says to me that there has to be something wrong about him. There is no way he is so perfect and he has no room to grow at all.

Why am I wondering about this? In church everyone seems to live perfectly happy life. Not to being so negative, I find it not real to be among church members. Yes, they are happy, except for gosple, what makes them so happy, beyond average? no debate on choice? everything is so crystal clean? so satisfying to them? no battle on choices?

The reason I love my friends in China is because we all know our stories, good and bad, encouraging and discouraging...they are real people. so I feel home with them.

I wish the best to our church members. I hope they live well as they appear to be.

    Depressed CuiYong Yan

I am shocked to know that Cui Yong Yuan is depressed! He seems to have it all: family, fame, money and he is still young. What makes him on suicide watch?

After reading a few ariticles about his depression and his own comments, I think I learned two things:

    1. Life is never perfect. Just learn to accept and eat elephant one bite at a time;

    2. Even he, among so many people, is so lonely (as apposed to be alone). It is never easy to find soul connection. So when you have one, you better appreciate them.
